Personally I use <a href="http://www.sameshow.com/demo-creator.html#241" rel="nofollow">screen recorder</a> Democreator to record desktop tutorial to show my client how stuff works, but I'm not sure it would meet your needs. If you only want to make a podcast (I mean with voice only), <a href="http://audacity.sourceforge.net/" rel="nofollow">audacity</a> will be a great choice.
